Larry Garfield

Former Director of Developer Experience

Larry Garfield was Director of Developer Experience at Upsun (formerly Platform.sh). Before joining the company, he spent over a decade as an active Drupal contributor and consultant, leading the Drupal 8 Web Services initiative that helped modernize Drupal's architecture. He is a member of the PHP-FIG Core Committee and author of Thinking Functionally in PHP, and holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from DePaul University. At Upsun, he wrote extensively on PHP language features, containers, and web application deployment best practices.
