AI coding tools have rapidly evolved from autocomplete to agents capable of substantial development work. Yet, while code production has accelerated dramatically, software delivery hasn’t always kept pace. The bottleneck is shifting towards review, coordination and risk management.
At the same time, much of today’s AI agent activity remains centred on individual developers and their local machines. Scaling agents this way means developers spend more time providing context, supervising work and switching between tools, while organizations see token consumption explode with limited visibility or control.
Upsun Dispatch takes a workflow-first approach. Agents handle work on the cloud inside isolated sandboxes, while workflows define how work progresses and where human judgement or approval is required. Prompts, code changes, approvals and costs are captured as the work happens and logged against each run.
It’s launched with Automated Code Review and Issue-to-Code workflows, which allows teams to automate more of the development process while retaining human control over the decisions that matter.
